Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our service, woodworking, cabinetry, and remodeling. Don’t see your answer? Give us a call – we’ll be happy to help!

Construction projects of all kinds are notorious for taking longer than expected. Rather than being frustrated when your project doesn’t meet its original completion date, you should plan ahead and leave plenty of buffer time. For example, most bathroom remodels take on average one month to complete. However, this can vary greatly depending on many factors. The size of the bathroom and the complexity of the remodel will be the biggest contributors to a lengthy project timeline.

You should prepare for the unexpected on any home renovation project, though. Houses can have quirks that you may not know about until the project is underway. Indeed, there are often delays getting appliances and materials. So, examine rough estimates for each space you want to remodel. Also, add a decent chunk of buffer time, perhaps 25% extra. If you don’t need it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised and have your project done early.

One of the most challenging parts of a home renovation is figuring out how much you will have to pay for the whole project. Since every house and renovation is different, it can be difficult to find comparable prices to use as an estimate. With us, we will meet you in your home to talk about the project in person. We will create and provide a clear proposal for the cost and scope of work to be done before you have to make your buying decision. Transparency and fair pricing are two of our core values.

It is completely understandable to be concerned about this topic. We are sure you’ve heard horror stories (or witnessed) contractors making a big mess.

We pride ourselves on leaving a place better than how we found it and keeping the project clean at all times. We will make sure to cover all floors, mask off surrounding areas, cover any furniture that can’t be moved and more. We clean up our work area every day before we leave the job.

Our goal is to make your experience with us as pleasant as possible!

Yes. We always advise that homeowners have the proper homeowners insurance regardless of a remodel project.

We have 2.5 million in insurance general liability coverage. Proof of insurance can be provided at your request.

You’ve come to the right place! Whether it is a custom piece of furniture, cabinets, or an entire home, we will work with you to create the perfect design and selections.

You may be as involved or uninvolved as you would like to be. Our goal is to turn your dreams (either clear or foggy) into your perfect project!

If you have multiple bathrooms, this won’t be a problem, but you’ll probably need to share a bathroom with the kids. It is also important to ask your contractor if his workers and subcontractors will need a place to go.

Get a portable bathroom for the workers. A portable toilet costs about $300 a month, and there are higher end versions available if your remodel will be taking all the bathrooms offline.
