Your bathroom should be a space that functions flawlessly and feels like a retreat — not a source of daily frustration. Builder-grade fixtures, cracked tile, inadequate storage, and outdated layouts are the most common complaints we hear from Round Rock homeowners. At Mitchell Woodwork & Remodeling, we fix all of that. As a licensed bathroom renovation contractor and in-house custom woodworking team, we transform bathrooms from the studs out — delivering spaces that are beautiful, moisture-resistant, code-compliant, and built to last.
We handle master bathroom renovations, guest bath refreshes, tub-to-shower conversions, and full gut demolitions. Whether you want a sleek, minimalist wet room or a warm, spa-inspired retreat, our team designs and builds it with the same precision we bring to every project. If your bathroom renovation is the start of a larger vision, we also specialize in whole home remodeling in Round Rock — so you’ll have one trusted team from start to finish, no matter how far the project grows.
A master bath renovation is one of the highest-return investments you can make in your home. We redesign the layout for better flow, install custom double vanities, create walk-in shower enclosures with frameless glass, add soaking tubs, upgrade lighting, and install heated flooring — all coordinated by one team under a single contract.
The most popular single upgrade we do. We remove your existing tub, reroute plumbing, build a properly sloped and waterproofed shower pan, and install your choice of tile, prefab surround, or natural stone. Walk-in showers with bench seating, built-in niches, and frameless glass enclosures are our specialty. One of our recent Round Rock clients described his tub-to-shower conversion as flawless — even when we encountered decades-old plumbing that required creative problem-solving on the fly.
Not every bathroom needs a full gut renovation. Sometimes a targeted refresh — new vanity, updated fixtures, fresh tile, improved lighting — transforms the space completely at a fraction of the cost. We scope each project honestly and recommend only what’s actually needed.
Our in-house woodworkers build custom bathroom vanities that no big-box store can match. that no big-box store can match. Built for moisture-prone environments using cabinet-grade plywood, solid wood face frames, and durable finishes, our vanities include soft-close drawers, integrated electrical outlets, and custom interior storage layouts. Floating vanities, furniture-style vanities, and double sink configurations are all within our scope. Beyond cabinetry, our custom woodwork team handles all trim, built-in shelving, and decorative millwork in your bathroom — the finishing details that separate a polished remodel from a basic contractor job.
Proper waterproofing is the most critical and most overlooked phase of any shower or wet area build. We install certified waterproof membranes on all shower walls and floors, ensure correct shower pan slope, and use premium large-format tile, mosaic accents, or natural stone — all professionally installed with sealed grout lines that resist mold and moisture. Heated bathroom flooring is available and increasingly popular in our Central Texas winters.
We handle all plumbing and electrical work in-house: new drain lines, hot and cold water relocation, shower valve upgrades, GFCI outlet installation, exhaust fan upgrades, LED recessed lighting, and vanity lighting. Everything is permitted and inspected per City of Round Rock and Williamson County requirements.
Bathroom renovation costs in Round Rock typically range from $8,000–$15,000 for a focused guest bath refresh, $20,000–$40,000 for a full master bathroom renovation, and $45,000+ for a luxury spa-style master bath with premium stone, radiant heat, and custom cabinetry throughout. We provide a detailed, line-item written estimate before any work begins.

Matthias FelleisenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jeff's commitment to his work, as a human-to-human service to his customers, are unparalleled. I have worked with many contractors over the years on various houses, but Jeff is the best. I met with him once, for approximately 15-20 minutes and sketched out the various additions I wanted, including two large bookshelves for my study (see photo for one of them). After that, we communicated via text messages and phone calls. Jeff kept me posted about every step: measuring, spelling out my requirements, specifying the shelves via drawings (plus the electric outlets that come through), the selection of the wood, the choice of lacquer, all the way to the installation (which came with a short video). When I actually got back, the work was done and it was perfect. Don't bother to consider alternatives if you live north of Austin. Best ever! You can’t go wrong with these guys! Jeff is personal and a man of his word! Renee HaileyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My kitchen remodel was truly a one-of-a-kind. The cabinets, with inset doors, were made of hand-selected rift-sawn white oak. The wood is stained, and it’s so beautiful it grabs your attention. Building these cabinets required near perfect craftsmanship. There was very little room for error. The free-floating 3 inch thick, solid white oak shelving over the coffee/beverage bar was hand-hewn by Jeff Mitchell and installed using “invisible” steel rods to support these very heavy artistic wooden pieces. He embedded under counter lighting under each shelf. The results are so eye-catching that it summons you to the counter for a cup of coffee just to look at the wood. I highly recommend Jeff and his team to see your vision, and then plan your remodel. I remodeled Arts & Crafts homes of the 1940’s for 8 years. I have a very critical eye, and I’m hard to please. They want to be proud of their work, and they want to please you, too. If there was anything that I did not like, there was never an argument, and it was attended to immediately. Jeff will make it right, his attitude is “we want to make you happy!” He and Rocco are very creative, they love a challenge, and they have the “We can do that” attitude! These skilled craftsmen are absolutely a delight to have on the job. They keep you informed, they keep to the schedule, and they work hard. I was lucky to find them! Shay BainesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff & Robert on my built-in dining room buffet/bar project. Robert diligently worked on finding a stain color that would match existing cabinets. Jeff was great to bounce ideas off when looking for a solution for the shelves to hold significant weight. They had great communication, were punctual and cleaned up all project debris. We asked to push the install to the week after Thanksgiving, and they graciously agreed. We love how the project turned out, and have received many compliments; some saying it appears as if the house was built this way. Anna LaldinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I love my beautiful new sink installed by Mitchell Woodwork and Remodeling! They installed it quickly, did an excellent job, were easy to communicate with, and showed unmatched kindness every step of the way. HomeownerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jeff & his crew did a great job remodeling my entire home including cabinetry, flooring, lighting, baseboards, door frames, plumbing, granite countertops and removing a wall. I would definitely use them again. virginia calleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Mitchell Woodwork and Remodeling team did a great job completely redoing two of our bathrooms. It was a huge project and they work tirelessly in our home even under very difficult circumstances! Our AC went out and they worked for two days in the heat! They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every work day and made every effort to make sure we were pleased with the final product. We now have two bathrooms that look absolutely gorgeous and we are so very thankful! We wish this company the absolute best in all their future endeavors and we hope you will give them an opportunity to work for you!
A focused guest bath refresh typically takes 2–4 weeks. A full master bathroom renovation runs 5–8 weeks. Projects with custom vanities, steam showers, or radiant heat installation may take 8–10 weeks. We provide a full timeline with milestones at project kickoff.
Yes — any work involving plumbing relocation, electrical modifications, or structural changes requires a permit through the City of Round Rock or Williamson County. We handle all permit applications and inspection scheduling. You don’t need to deal with any of that.
For single-bathroom homes, we work with you to sequence the project to minimize disruption — keeping water and toilet access as long as possible before the final tie-in. For multi-bathroom homes, we typically sequence work to maintain at least one functional bathroom throughout the project.
Porcelain tile is the most popular choice for Texas showers due to its durability, moisture resistance, and low maintenance. Large-format porcelain (24×24 or larger) in a rectified finish gives a clean, contemporary look. Natural stone like travertine and marble adds luxury but requires sealing.
We build our vanities in-house at our Round Rock shop. Every vanity is built to the exact dimensions of your bathroom, in your chosen wood species and finish, with the interior layout you specify. It’s a different product category from anything you’d buy at a home improvement store.
